I have switched from Optus cable to Swiftel, but until today coudn't figure out how to feed a WAN IP to my wireless router.
So just incase anyone else is interested, I just figured out how to establish a connection using my Dlink 504 in bridge mode RFC1483.
It is a simple matter to use the embeded web page (192.168.0.1) in the Dlink 504 to switch to bridge mode, but I couldn't work out how to logon.
A PPP over ethernet connection is available from DLink 504 and its just a matter of pluging this in to your PC or Netgear router, then using a PPPoe logon client to establish the connection.
I have connected sucessfully with PPPoe in Win XP inbuilt client, but found the PPPoe client on my Netgear 314 wireless router to be the best.
I guess the other option would have been to buy a DSL wireless router, but this was cheaper since I had the DSL modem and router already.
