Hi,
Need a little more information to be of any help.
- What sort of modem do you have ? Netgear, Billion, Netcomm, D-Link ?
- At what speed does your modem report that you are sync'ing ?
- Do you what what downstream attenuation you are current getting ?
- What brand/type of microfilters do you have attached to your other phones in the house ?
- How are you testing your speed to reach the 200kbs ? i.e. online speed test / download from mirror ?

Hello lil_pirie,
Can you advise what your modem's upstream and downstream sync speeds are?

Hello,
The NB1300 isn't an ADSL2+ modem, the max supported on that modem is ADSL1.
The downstream and upstream sync speed should be displayed in the modem's config page.

Great upstream speed there, but horrible downstream !! Your downstream attenuation indicates that you're about 3.7km away from the exchange. However, even at 50db you should still be getting about 5100kbps downstream sync. Something there is not quite right !!
I'm sure the question has been asked before, but have you tried an isolation test ? In other words, unplug every other telephone device (phone, fax, foxtel, alarm system) and all microfilters that you have in the house and just try the modem plugged in by itself.
If you perform an isolation test and find that your sync speed goes up, then the likely culprit would be something like a microfilter, or perhaps an unfiltered device. If it doesn't then something else is amiss, perhaps a line fault.

Glad you figured it out !
You're upstream is fantastic at 1015kbps ! But your downstream is still a bit low at 2615kbps.
I know that not all microfilters are equal, especially when it comes to ADSL2. You may want to try something better than the Netcomm on your Foxtel adapter. C10 filters are highly praised and could be worth a try. Even better, a central splitter would help, but that would require a sparky.
