my current adsl line stats with my dlink 504 are:

Downstream Upstream
SNR 3.5 dB 0.0 dB
ATEN 44 dB 26 dB

consequently my line is unstable and sync speed isnt great.
i am a licenced cabler and have fitted a central splitter and replaced all the phone cabling when i first moved into this house a year ago, the dsl stats have worsened in that time.
i tried a mates router today to see if that would sync any better but stats were no better on his dlink 604t:

Item Downstream Upstream Unit
SNR Margin 4 24 dB

Line Attenuation 47 27 dB

so i can rule out cpe and internal wiring.
is it possible for pt to take this matter further (the fact its a telstra dslam is of no consequence to me as a customer) and look at my line or will they simply test voice frequencies and then send me a no fault found bill?

my peopletel adsl experience is not enjoyable atm, rectification of my connection quality would be highly desirable.

Hello assailant,

Your line stats look pretty bad.
If you are on 8192/384kbps connection or faster we can apply a stability profile to raise your SNR but eats a little into your sync speed.

Otherwise we'll lodge a fault in for you as there might be something on the line that is causing interference. Provided you've done all the necessary troubleshooting such as isolation etc.

If you want me to handle your fault case, send through a technical fault email and message me your ticket number and I can follow this through with you

Thanks
Albert
